Your digital lock has no battery :-).

Your phone charges the lock

Your phone is needed to charge the lock with your NFC chip. Then you can open or close the lock. 

Keep the phone very still

To charge the lock you must keep the phone very still other wise you will get 'access failed, try again'.

Do you know where your NFC scan area is on your phone?

Yes, continue reading.

No: Depending on the make and model, your device’s NFC antenna might be located along the top, middle, or bottom of the backside of your device.

If you are having a hard time finding the right NFC zone, click on the "Access" button then try slowly moving your device along the lock until an interaction (buzz) is triggered. 

Yes, I know where my NFC is located

  1. Make sure the NFC function is turned on.
  2. Click on the ACCESS button on the bottom right of the app.
  3. Hold the phone with the NFC scan area against the lock. 
  4. Keep it still for 4 seconds!
  5. DO NOT MOVE THE PHONE.

You will hear "click" from the lock and see "Access Granted" on your phone. Then you can turn the black knob. You have 15 seconds to operate the lock.

Turn NFC on

  1. Open the "Settings App" on your smartphone device.
  2. Go to the search option and type "NFC" or "Near Field Communication"
  3. If you see the app showing results, then your smartphone supports NFC technology and you can turn it on.
