Suurs and Co. replaced the smoke detectors. What does that mean?

In the rooms of tower A, B and C, a smoke detector with a built-in alarm device has been installed instead of an alarm device.

This means that for each apartment; the hall and room are now equipped with a smoke detector.

The service technician from SKK Kozijnwacht has been to your room to upgrade the sliding windows. Below we explain what work has been carried out, what you will notice and how you can use the sliding window optimally!

What work has been carried out?

• All draft brushes have been replaced
• A new ventilation grille has been installed
• All wheels have been cleaned and greased

What do you notice about this?

The new draft brushes are a bit thicker than the old ones.

• This makes the window close better, allowing less draft to pass through. In the long term this will save on heating costs.
• Due to their thickness, sliding the windows does feel a bit heavier.

The new ventilation grille can be opened and closed again

• Most of the grilles in the building were broken, maybe yours too.
• With the new grille you can choose whether or not to have ventilation.
• Because SKK encourages ventilation to promote a healthy indoor climate, the service technician opened all grilles during his visit.

The wheels run smoothly again and can last for years to come

• Make sure that the rails on which the wheels roll remain clean. Dirty rails cause dirty wheels and premature wear!

The windows have 2 sliding parts, one of which is used the most. Sometimes the window part that is used the least is not closed properly, but our tip is: Make sure that BOTH window parts are properly closed. This saves drafts and leaks!
