Lieven is located in the Delflandpleinbuurt in Amsterdam Nieuw-West, between Maassluisstraat, Vlaardingenlaan, Overschiestraat and Voorburgstraat. Due to urban renewal, this neighborhood is very much in flux. Various new construction and renovation projects have now been started here; a major refurbishment. This also creates a large group of new residents in the neighbourhood. Lieven wants to be a meeting place for all these new residents and the current neighbors. Everyone can come together here for activities that residents devise and set up themselves.

Lieven is easily accessible by public transport.
